That's been my point about the Oline this season. If Tyler Johnson, Isaiah Hookfin, and Jaylen Garth cannot beat out some of our current starters, there isn't a short-term fix for this problem.
This has been the #1 reason for our mediocrity over the last decade.
If the OL had Okafor then we wouldn't be as in bad shape...about average.
Listed below were the starters for last game. They do move around so we'll see
LT - Christian Jones - Run Game - F, Pass Game - F
LG - Derek Kerstetter - Run Game - D-, Pass Game - C+
C - Jake Majors - Run Game - D-, Pass Game - F
RG - Junior Angilau - Run Game - B-, Pass Game - D-
RT - Andrej Karic - Run Game - D, Pass Game - worse than an F, like just awful
Karic is in there because Okafor got hurt. He had an absolute disaster of a game vs. OU. As many of you know, if you have even 1 weak link on the OL, the whole unit looks bad. Well, our tackles are not very good. And the center isn't lighting the world on fire.
Just for reference Okafor - Run Game - B-, Pass Game C-
Against OU, our two tackles had two of the worst games I can remember. If I equate it to QB play, they had a completion percentage of 33% and 5 interceptions.
We may see more of Garth this week.
