Howdy boys, been awhile. Took the family on a grand tour of Europe for the summer and spent the last couple weeks getting the boy settled into Georgia Tech. Then back here to the land of dust and lust to prepare for the new semester. Like the rest of you, I can't wait for Longhorn football to start!!!

We met some great folks in Europe including one couple from South Carolina who were huge Clemson fans. When they found out my boy was going to be a "Ramblin' Wreck" we became fast friends....So now I have a rooting interest in ACC football....and what's the good word? To HELL with Georgia!!

The Freep! How long were you in Europe? A long hiatus in Europe is on my bucket list.

Welcome back freeper. Glad your son took my advice on GT. My ex wife is a UGA grad, so yeah, to hell with Georgia. Lol

Welcome back and congrats on getting your boy into GT!

Did Europe for two weeks and it was an awesome trip but home is where the heart is.

Welcome back, Freeper. I "adjusted" your statement a little. ;)

We were in Europe for 6 weeks. Lots of planes, trains and ships....trip of a lifetime. We are now part of the 1% of Americans who have visited Russia. For a Cold War kid like me, that was absolutely fascinating. As a historian and navalist though, I loved England.

Noted and agreed with. Nice thing about the boy being at GT, whenever I visit, I can hit the College Football Hall of Fame. Great place with several displays paying homage to the noble and virtuous scholar athletes from the Forty Acres....
