I deleted a comment I made on a college classmates page stating my views on immigration and the border security. I've gotten tired of following comments and discussing politics publicly on fb, because no one is going to agree with me. The guy then sends me this message once we're done talking privately. He didn't even discuss why I think what I think, or discuss the intricacies of the issue at all.

"I'm sorry Josh, but I've exhausted my patience with you and I have to go to an event. You're clearly a very smart guy, but I think you lack certain forms of empathy for those outside of your group or life experience. I'm offended by your rhetoric and your opinions on this matter in light of current events and your exposure to them. I'm not going to unfriend you on facebook, but I want you to know you are not my friend. You are however my fellow citizen, and with that in mind I will not cut myself off from you. I do not want to live in a bubble, and nor should you. In the future if you ever want to comment on my posts, I would gladly accept and appreciate the counter opinions you have, but I want them to take place in a community forum so that more voices and opinions can be heard. Please note, if you delete any of them again, I will unfriend you and note on the post what you have done. It is a cowards choice to delete a conversation they are not agreeing with, like a child who flips a chess board when he's not winning. Have a good life, and I hope if "they" come for you there will be someone left standing to help."

Am I wrong for thinking that's ridiculous of this person??
