Baylor player announces that they will wear all black uniforms to protest Art Briles's firing. I thought Grobe would at least have an overriding law over everybody's heads to walk the line, even though, I was never convinced he would be instrumental in x's and o's coaching part of things.

I don't see how he could have any authority. All the players know he's a one year guy. All of Briles assistsnts are still,in place. Grobe was never meant to have any power

Just excersize your right to not watch their drivel.

So, to protest Briles firing, they're gonna throw the game?

It will be interesting to see what happens to a guy like Kendell Briles. Ovbiously a talented offensive coach. Does someone pick him up or is he done as a coach?

He'll get picked up as long as nothing concrete comes out about him.

A loss like this indicates that Baylor fb is sliding downhill fast and I don't think they've hit rock bottom yet. As usual they had a soft early schedule and now they're playing the best teams in the Big XII 6/6 is a real possibility. I saw on one of their web sites yesterday that there has been little or no recruiting. And with a loss like this how are they going to attract a good coach? I feel for Jim Grobe he's trying to right the ship but he inherited an already sinking ship he doesn't have a chance I doubt if any coach could have done better. He probably can't wait till Dec 3rd so he can go back to North Carolina.

Son of the head coach. How could he not have known? I wonder if his dad quit relatively quietly in order to protect him?

I read somewhere that before the season started Jim Grobe announced that the Baylor asst. coaches would not be interviewed during the season. Who knows what that means it could mean a lot of things.

So, they're going down?
Ummmm yeah. Last week was just the start of the decline. Like I said, their FB program should be shut down and they will become that Baylor team we always appreciated, the big 12 doormat

They didn't shut down Penn State and they won't shut down Baylor. I don't know if Penn State will ever be great again, but they have begun to pull themselves out of the sewage of Sandusky I think Bayor can pull themselves out of the sewage of the Briles years

I think Baylor has a worse situation because the entire coaching staff knew about this. Their penalties will be much worse than Penn state which will cause them to suck for years to come

IMO Penn State was much much worse.

Joe Paterno was a legend, not just at Penn State, but the entire of College football, he was DKR, Bo Schembecher, Bobby Bowden, Bill Snyder, Knute Rockne, and Bear Bryant. Now he is just a guy that aided a child molester and then tried to hide it.

I fully expect Briles to come back from this and Baylor as well. Penn State will eventually come back as well.

If Germany can come back after WWII, then these schools will move on also.

But Germany hasn't fully come back. They're a poor country. Still think Baylor is worse, still think Baylor will suffer for a long time

Calm down bro, your on a college football teams forum page talking about a hated rival.
Here's my peace offering - take OU next week. Doesn't matter the spread - Oddsmakers can't give enough points. The wheels officially came off the team yesterday.

We shall see. The new coach will have to bring in a new staff with him cuz Ken briles and co. sure as he'll ain't staying

Man I did not see a 62/22 final score I don't think anybody did. I still can't believe the final score.

It wasn't as close as the final score indicated. We got assistant coaches sending out tweets in support CAB on Friday night, players calling for a 'black out", a head coach that looked like he wanted his shawl on the sideline, etc. - no one is working on the freaking game plan. The most pathetic thing was Fatterson was actually showing mercy by running the ball the whole 4th quarter, not that it showed much mercy because the RB's had 10 yards before they were touched. There is not that much difference in talent between the teams in the Big XII, so it takes focus. And this team has lost theirs. New coach will inherit a 6 game losing streak.

Clean house seems like the only option after that stunt. Those coaches and players (mainly the coaches) have a duty to the university. If I were a Baylor fan or administrator, I would be sick to my stomach.

If I were a fan, I would be ready for college basketball season for the next 20 years

Yeah I mean look at it this way. They basically lost theit entire incoming freshman class. Recruiting for 2017 won't be great. Seems like it would take a long time to dig out of that.

Germany is the strongest economy in europe........ for the time being. Won't last though.

Baylor is done. There's a contingency that will never, ever believe that Briles did anything wrong. I could have video of him clubbing baby seals with a 9 iron while he's snorting cocaine off a dead hooker's a$$ in North Korea with Kim Jong rooting him on in the background, and many baylor fans would still say he's innocent...................

Sounds like voters I know.....
