When he arrived, it had been decades of wandering lost in the desert since the glory days of DKR. Yes, a couple of unsustained highlight years but never the year-in and year-out success which spoiled TEXAS fans. Yes some are butt hurt and want to bitch but if you compare the positives with the negatives, the positives seriously outweigh the negatives.

Always a class act. Talk to his players and they loved him both for his on-field coaching and for his mentorship of them as men.

2nd best coach in TEXAS history and it's a wide chasm to #3.
