Happy Sunday, Orangebloods:
What an incredible community you are! Following our very first "Heart of an Orangeblood" feature last week, I had few of you reach out to get involved. A pair of tickets to the ULM game were generously donated and we were able to identify a deserving young man to gift them to. I'd like to introduce you to @Orangebloodpatrick, who I met earlier this week.
Patrick is currently a resident at the Texas Baptist Children's Home through a program called Home Base, which provides housing for youth aging out of foster care, or youth facing homelessness. Patrick works and attends Austin Community College, where he's studying Information Technology, with a goal to pursue a career in Cybersecurity. I asked Patrick what he could use some help with as he works to get on his feet. He said, all he asks for is some encouragement! I just know you all will come through!
Thank you to our anonymous Orangebloods donor, your generosity provided Patrick the opportunity to attend and enjoy the game with his father.
