The Earth is in constant change. Over just the past 500MY of its 4.5BY existence we can see CO2 levels fluctuate from below 400ppm just 1MYA, to 4,500ppm back some 500MYA.
So what happened to the Earth's Temp?
Fluctuations between 13 to 23-degrees C.
A 10-degree C swing.
So what correlations did we see between CO2 levels and Temps?
Between the end of Cambrian Period 490MYA and the climax of the Devonian, some 370MYA CO2 levels dropped 2,500 ppm while the Earth's Temp INCREASED 1 - degree C.
Now to be fair to the GWICBM Crowd (She's a witch!!!), sandwiched between those two, during the Silurian Period, a 17-degrees C Temp, but with CO2 levels 3000ppm.
Hmmmm.
Something is not right.
Let's continue.....
A mere 70MY later, CO2 levels hit 400ppm, equivalent of today's levels. The Temp, 13-degrees C, within 2-degrees C of our current temps. However, that 2-degrees is the difference between the Canada we know and a Canada covered in ice.
Continuing.......
Between the ends of the Jurassic and the Cretaceous CO2 levels were CUT BY OVER HALF, while Earth's Temps were elevated 4-degrees C.....a jump of over 20%!!!
Then, over the next 50MY, CO2 levels were CUT IN HALF AGAIN, to 500ppm......
ONLY TO SEE TEMPS HOLD STEADY!!!!
Here is THE BOTTOM LINE.....
The Witch Hunters need to show us, The Great Unwashed, MORE PROOF
showing positively that.....
(1) Temps are IN FACT rising,
and PROVE that.....
(2) increased CO2 levels are are THE CAUSE of those Temp fluctuations.
And for those of you who think that's easy, look again at those historical numbers above.......
because there have been periods when CO2 levels were up and Temps dropped, and periods when CO2 levels were down and Temps rose.......
which means....
