How do those big signs with pictures (like one for Pedro) work for play calling? I was used to using sending a player in w a play, using a wristband or hand signals. Guess it's the same?

I don't know, but with the illegal in game scouting by Michigan and ou, they better figure out something different.

Check it out.

Some of the photos are used like a que card. Sometimes it's a picture that reminds you of something.
Like say we had a play Bob Stoops used to run where everybody goes out wide, we run a bubble screen to left and on the right we run a go route, a flag route and a crossing pattern.
So I would hold up several photos on a placard and those photos may be numbered 1,2,3,4,5,6 in your mind. I send you in the signal for the 4th photo which is a photo of a giant bag of dicks. You know Bob Stoops eats giant bags of dicks. So you know we are running Bob Stoops play.

Make sense now?

It’s 2023 the technology isn’t exactly new why doesn’t college just put the radio in the QB’s helmet, and make the whole sign stealing thing irrelevant?
Mi amigo---- you think that can't be hacked?

Joe Biden would be selling Georgia's plays to China who'd sell them right to Saban 1.4 seconds later.

I’m sure it can be, but the NFL has had rules and systems in place to prevent that for many years and as far as we know has been successful. Would not be hard for college football to adopt

The NFL can fine the sh!t out if you if you try and hack the audio feed.
Who is going to fine you in college? The NCAA who has no teeth?

Several years ago, one of our football managers was a junior fireman and always carried his emergency walkie-talkie. On a few games, he could pick up the frequency and chatter from the opposing team's coaches radios. We stole a few "signs" that way, but most of the time it didn't matter. We weren't too good.😄

If we had kids smart enough to audible or coaches that trust them, then the stupid signs wouldn't be needed.
