How do we fix the media?

Cliffs:

• Networks need to make money
• Networks report what their execs want them to report which is generally based on what makes shareholders happy or the political views of an ultra wealthy individual
  
• There are no cable newscasts anymore, just editorials
  
• People can now get news on demand but only subscribe to editorials and messages and streams that reiterate what they think or what they want to hear

The result of all of this is the slow stripping of real information from the the American electorate. This is accelerating. True that people consume much more information today than they have. It's just that the information is often a straight out lie.

Solutions? Please post below. I would like ideas so we can start a movement to fix this.
