How much do you power clean?

Good question. If I recall correctly, the guys we've had on the OL were not big-time OL recruits. 3 star guys for the most part I believe. Why can't we recruit the best linemen? We have no problem recruiting DB's and offensive skill guys but in the trenches our recruiting has sucked big time. That's been our biggest problem for the past 8-10 years. No quality linemen are coming here.

My dad used to say (rest in peace) “you get your speed from the south, head north to get your beef”. He also used to say “I know all those damn kids at Notre Dame ain’t Catholic”. Words of wisdom

Yeah I'm done with Herman spewing weight room stats. I wanna hear about guys punching holes in walls after a loss. I wanna hear about somebody going upside anybody's head that laughs after a loss. I wanna hear about guys knocking old lady's shopping carts out the way to beat that b*tch in line at the grocery store.

As Pop would say, "I want some nasty!"

I had this guy named Troy who played in my fantasy league. Every year without fail Troy would bypass the safe pick for a reach . . . because he wanted to prove he was smarter than everyone else. Predictably Troy's teams always under performed.

Me thinks Tommy has some Troy in him. Perhaps Beck too.

Yeah, I disagree with the assertion the DL didn’t play well. Also, I think the OL looks a lot better if Ingram gets 15 carries and Young gets 10-12
I'm going to go back through the game carefully today and I will let you know how many missed blocks we had by our Oline.

Spoiler alert-- I saw at least a dozen in the first half alone.

It's all stats now. Gone are the days of bullying wins. Today's game focuses on checking off the most boxes that lead to success. It's actually true but outcomes do not come in straight or smooth lines. Linear regression takes time and patience. Most don't have the patience for it.

I watched my high school destroy Denton Guyer on TV here in DFW. I swear Aledo could beat Maryland or Texas.

Yet they couldn’t handle College Station...

I’ll take your original statement as a joke. Only fools actually believe a HS team could beat a D1 school. Aledo is a good team, but they’re not even the best team in the DFW area.

Ya'll are wound too tight but the stats quote was correct. It's all about maffs.

Man i hate to admit this.....as a former highschool receiver..... but EVERYTHING starts up front. I used to get into it with my coach because he would tell me to run a route and if it were zone i would have to adjust my route.....find a hole and hope the QB was on the same page as i was...coach would come over and yell at me and why i ran the wrong rt and i would say.... "i didnt....it was zone coverage ....if i had run that route i would ran right to the backer dropping into coverage" Having a young QB that cant seem to read the coverage along with receivers looking like they are running the route with no adjustments is very disappointing. We have talented playmakers just seems like everyone is on different pages.

Speaking of receivers. I'm watching LSU-Miami and it gratifies me to see that LSU has no more success with those freaking bubble screens than we do.....but then again, LSU has an actual running game.

They also have formations with the QB under center. I get it, we’re a spread team but some power i formations would come in handy at times.

I think our O line looks a lot better if we run the damn ball when they drop 8 into coverage which we had plenty of time to do....pull a little Sun Tzu on em...quit playing into their strength....but in the end...the defense taking the first quarter off is what lost the game.
