I would consider myself an old-school liberal that values freedom and liberty, helping others, letting folks do their own thing.
Government has a role in American life and should try to bring in enough revenue to pay for itself as best as possible, but not go overboard on the spending. Military is important but being the policeman of the world is not part of our constitutional make-up.
