Hurricane

Hurricane? It's a cat 3........ on the Gulf Coast we called a cat 3 a "windy Wednesday".

Well in north Texas we call a snow flurry snowmageddon, so a cat 3 hurricane is practically a sign of the rapture to us. We are all praying for you souls.

There is always the rogue meteor hitting DC we can wish for.

JK - I'd prefer if we could just vote them all out of office

Cat 5 wish. Hit DC. Purge all politicians. Start over.

Lol...just yesterday I was lecturing my classes on the War of 1812 and I explained to them how during that war the British actually invaded D.C. and burned the capital. At the time it was a great tragedy. Then I made the observation that today it might be considered a favor to the country....

You're lucky the PC police didn't kick your door in and drag you off to an internment camp.

Now you're just on the no fly list......

Have you watched Designated Survivor, Clob?
I don't watch much tv (outside of sports and news).
But because they've been showing the crap out of previews for that show, I know what you're referring to. Plot- Kiefer Sutherland is a cabinet member that gets sequestered during a meeting of both houses of Congress and "boom" errrbody dead but him and he becomes POTUS.

Well I'm lucky in having a supportive department chair. I also take the time on day one of each semester to explain to students that I am not politically correct. I tell them that if they are one of those students that needs a safe space, they should probably find another course section and professor....so they are fairly warned...but your assertion about PC police is correct. It is absurd how stifling conversations can be with other faculty members...

I have a bad habit of telling people to go fornicate with their matriarchal figure if they confront me about being "PC deficient". I'm a "yes ma'am no ma'am" kinda guy and if you find that offensive, I'm likely to tell you to orally consume equine fecal matter and shuffle loose the mortal coil.
