In more or less the same manner that they did in 1939 and with modern capabilities, how soon would all of the Western powers fall? I'm of the belief that if our society were to be pulled into that type of conflict today, we would fold like a cheap suit. America would hold out for a while and doubtful our mainland would ever be taken, but I do not think that victory in Europe would be possible, nor do I see victory in Japan being possible due to the abhorrence for civilian casualties in our modern world. A war of attrition would decimate moral and national pride, even after a Pearl Harbor type attack. In the end, I think that the Allies would attempt to pursue a peace treaty, rather than commit to total war. I also believe that Russia and North Korea would back the Axis powers, and that China would be a vastly important "swing state" that could help determine the fate of Western Europe, although I am not certain of which side they would land on. What say you, Orangebloods? Opinions?
