It appears they're still keeping Hinkley psychologically subdued, which is probably a good thing but I'm sure it puts a dent in his songwriting skills

You gotta love Willie, he's a liberal sob but that guitar with a hole in it is classic. I remember seeing these guys in Zilker Park in 1991. We were shotgunning schlitz malt liquors 16oz with plastic bic pens.

Every time I see Willie I remember the time we visited Austin. We stopped at a convenient store. The still obviously drunk clerk asked us 'did you see Willie last night.' After giving me the wrong change twice, I gave up and took whatever he gave me. I hope he made it to the end of his shift.

On around 1975 or so, on St Patty's Day, I drank green beer with Willie at Scholz. Well...we saw him and stood next to him, anyways.

My dad graduated from high school with Willie Nelson's 1st wife. Before Wille made it big, he taught guitar lessons around Houston and evidently drove around in a van that said Willie Nelson's Guitar Lessons or something of the sort. Most of the junior high and high school kids in Galena Park, just knew him as Willie.
