Reach out to @jhicks2122 and I promise he will take good care of you. About a week ago, I started a thread to discuss buying a used car in this market. Someone sent me a PM and gave me his dealership's name and contact information. I went to his website and checked his used car inventory. Sure enough, he had the exact car my wife wanted to buy. I contacted him, and he gave me a great transparent price. There were no dealer add-ons on top of the price he quoted me. It was truly a no-BS price.
When I expressed interest, he took it off the market even though I had not committed to buying it or paid a deposit. About 9 hours later, we arrived for my wife to look at the car. She wanted to see the color in person to decide if she liked it. After about 10 hours of him holding the car, we finally decided to buy it.
The buying process went smoothly. The finance manager didn't try to force his upsells on us.
When I finally submitted the vehicle information to my credit union, they booked the car for $5,500 over what I was paying.
He is in DFW, but it's worth taking the drive regardless of where you live. Fortunately, I only had to drive about 80 miles, but I would have driven much further.
