Inside Texas BBall preview

Couple of things that caught my attention. Hamilton spoke about how much A.Jones has regained speed and strength from the comeback from cancer. He also spoke about how improved and how well he is playing. That is great news. Last year, though, Jones took so many bad, ill advised, rushed.... 3 pointers. A little later in the video, Hamilton did speak about the team in general taking bad 3s. I also liked what he said about Ramey as being the most improved player he saw. I am really excited about the Beard era.

We need Disu on the court. We don't have the bigs we had last year but we will be running an actual offense and Disu is an offensive rebounding monster. He is from Pflugerville. It will be fun to watch a men's team from Texas once again. Texas is owed multiple final 4 appearances after the recent hell we've had to put up with. BBR, it's safe to watch again.

I've looked at the roster. This could be an interesting season. When is our first game.

2/1/22 TX @ TT
2/19/22 TT @ TX

No telling what the atmosphere will be these games. Could be ugly

2022 Five Star small forward Dillon Mitchell committed to Texas today. This is a huge pickup. We now have two of the top 20 players in the 2022 class. That's rare for any program.

Mitchell is a 6'7" wing and is considered the best defender in the entire class. His strength, speed and athleticism allows him to guard all 5 positions. He's also an excellent ball handler and passer who can run the pick and roll to perfection.

Our bball program is going to be a monster.

Beard is exceptional at roster building. He knows how to put teams together and get the best out of players. If they don't buy in, they are processed. He knows how to process them off the team by limiting their participation.

His brand of basketball isn't always the easiest on the eyes but it's not Shaka ball. Defense is first. He runs a no middle defense.

Beards offense is called motion offense. It is the opposite of shaka ball which was stand around and jack up a 3. This can get frustrating for fans sometimes as well, especially against good man defense. Once the team gets comfortable, let's say 10 games in, the offense should click.
