Interesting Defensive Stats

I don't give a shit about injuries any more. There is enough highly rated players on that defense that they should be coached up.

I can understand a drop off, but to be 130 out of 130 in ALL of those categories is an absolute ****ing joke.

I mean they're not even mediocre. They're complete dog shit. They're not getting coached up. Period.

Man I would have never, ever, believed anyone who told me your defense would sink so low this year. I really believed in Orlando. I mean a year ago at this time I was really jealous that you had him.

But, the book is not closed on Todd yet

Injuries on defense should/would effect turnovers, efficiency, total yards, etc. It should NEVER, ever effect tackling. And for Texas to be 130/130 in missed tackles tells me these kids are not being coached up.

Seriously, I could handle giving up points/yards/etc. because you have to be more basic with young players/injured players, but to give up that many points in 4Q and have that many missed tackles...??? smdh

The points in the 4th quarter is because we have no depth and they are playing every snap. The players are worn out by that time. We literally have no subs in the secondary or at linebacker. It is not a mystery why this is happening. That being said the coaches need to figure out a scheme that these players can execute.

Just heard on the radio that the Texas players were told that the first defender to Pooka should “take their shot”, since help would be right behind them. This would be the opposite of basic fundamental defensive football where keeping your feet and containing a ball carrier is paramount while the rest of the defense is makes its way to help. If that’s true, we now know why we can’t tackle and why we have so many injuries.

Bullshit. Texas is 130/130. That’s inexcusable. We’re still two deep with quality talent.

Shocked when I say the KU replay on ESPNU. Thought I was watching an OU Mike Stoops re-run. Obviously injuries and depth problems part of it. Maybe you guys can find another Grinch. It was a shame for K.Murray's season to be short changed by such a terrible D. Looks like Sam going through the same thing. Almost makes me feel sorry for him. Almost.

While we are at it...... I am half way around the world with spotty internet and have had trouble following the games. It looks like we always start from our ten yard line after every punt and KO we return....wtf? Is anyone coaching anyone?

What? Are you arguing that they have depth and are not playing hurt with no subs? We are not 2 deep at some spots. Don't mix excuses up with reasons. The reason they are 130/130 is because everyone is hurt and the coaching is not good, but I am not excusing it (nor is anyone else) because I think Orlando should be held accountable if there is no improvement.

Our punt and kick returns are horrible. They seem to be trying to find someone they trust to field the ball and make a good decision. So far Duverney, Smith, Jones, and Jameson have fielded kicks and all have made some mistakes. I say pick one and make him an expert at it and quit flip flopping back an forth from one guy to another.

If they were top 90 I wouldn’t say anything. But our freshmen are good enough and highly rated enough to not be 130/130. Were not playing walking for goodness sakes

First--- I found those stats on that tweet. Second---- where the heck are you? Can't be Europe because the internet is rarely spotty over there. Unless it's Eastern Europe and if you're in eastern Europe, I've got some places you MUST go visit.

Clob Iwas on a ship...Vancouver to Sidney...lousy internet, no Eastern Europe hot spots....:

Yes, we are playing walk-ons. Walk on safety played the last two drives vs Kansas.
