The Athletic posted an article today about a 25 dynasty season simulation in the new college football game, all based on the factory settings out of the box. Surprisingly, Texas made the playoff only 7 times and went to the final four 1 time with zero titles (Oklahoma went 8 times with 2 final fours). Among our major competition, Michigan made 23 playoff appearances with 13 final fours and 3 titles; Oregon 22/14/9; Georgia 17/8/3; and Ohio State 17/9/3.
I was really surprised with the outcome of Texas relative to the other perceived power teams this year. Even A&M managed to secure one title during the 25 season simulation. Odd given the amount of talent on our roster and experience at key positions like QB and the oline. Does the computer see something that we don't?
Just a game but found it very interesting given expectations.
