like the IMF are the real life equivalent of James Bond villains. There was a wikileak regarding a conference call between two IMF chiefs where they were planning to stage a credit crisis in Greece and destabilize Europe in order to create the triple effect of 1) forcing Greece into long term structural reforms (probably a good thing), 2) scaring the Germans into accepting a debt reduction, and 3) Creating a crisis on the eve of the Brexit referendum in the UK to try and influence a sovereign election.
I like the fact that there is an Edward Snowden somehow attached to the IMF that is exposing this. But, the fact that a group of unelected technocrats can speak in such a cavalier fashion about influencing international events is frightening for anyone who believes in and pushes for transparency by individuals who are spending public tax dollars.
