Why would a black person graduating from an Ivy League school be considered smart? About 20 years ago, I was running a small anesthesia department in a country town becoming a suburb. Desperately needed help. I hired a black Puerto Rican who grew up in Harlem. He went to undergraduate, medical school, and residency at Yale. He had a florid letter of recommendation from the chairman of the department, who was a national authority. Put him to work, he promptly began cancelling operations. I had to send him to OB because the surgeons wouldn't have him. A week or so later, I went upstairs to check on him. He was studying for his boards, reading the standard text. He had 4 different hi-liters. He was underlining EVERYTHING. He had no idea of what mattered and what mattered less. When I told him that he was fired, he started telling me all about labor law in NY. He was too stupid to practice after 12 years at Yale. She Jack is a little suspicious for going to Virginia. I saw 2 other incompetent black doctors in my career. There were 10-20 black students in my med school class. I don't think any graduated. In Dallas back then, the incompetent were weeded out. I doubt that happens anymore. I had a hunting partner who was a ratdoctor at the school. He was on the admit committee. He said that they were constantly urged to find diversity. I wonder how Rep Lee did on her bar exam? Do you know that Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and Kamala Harris all failed their bar exams? Yet Michelle was paid about $400,000. /year right out of school by U Chicago Medical?

One of my brothers falled the Texas bar exam but now he's a successful lawyer who's licensed in NV and TX. In fact he beat that evil Sharon Keller in a death row case . Been practicing for over 40 years.

So that puts her firmly in the bottom 30+% of all California lawyers. My 2 younger daughters are both lawyers. When the older applied to UT Law, she had been Phi Beta Kappa at UT. Then she found out that her LSAT wasn't high enough for a white girl (3/4 white). She would have been admitted early if she had been hispanic or black. Got in the next year.

Here's a funny story from med school: There was one black student in the class ahead of me that got to senior year. The only required course was surgery. At that time, surgery students and residents took call every third day. Probably worked about 100 hours/week. Alfred decided that this was too much, so he quit showing up. He claimed that the surgeons were abusing him because he was black. Was surprised when he got a failing grade, couldn't graduate. So he told the school that if he wasn't allowed to graduate, he would sue. The school initially caved. But his classmates told the school that if he graduated, they would not attend graduation. He had to retake surgery, which made him late to his internship. I'd still like to see Obama's SAT and LSAT. Because I don't think that his scores would have gotten him in if he wasn't half black.
