.........If I were the coach, I'd read this to the team with bass in my voice and passion in my heart:

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I'd thank Mr. Thomas and I would then smash a chair into the wall and send the team out to be the only Texas team in history to beat Oklahoma TWICE in one year.

That is all.

@clob94 I like your style. The historian in me would probably use a variation of Henry V's speech before the Battle of Agincourt or better still, my take on Churchill's "finest hour" speech....

"if we fail, then all college football, including the SEC, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new dark age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science, the Sooners and the Aggies. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if the Longhorn Nation and the Big 12, last for a thousand years, men will still say, "This was their finest hour."

Oklahoma has to beat WVU. I don't see it happening.
To be honest I want another shot at West Virginia. The ending of that game left a bad taste in my mouth, especially after Grier ran to the crowd and gave the horns down. I know we have to beat Kansas first, but I expect Tom to have this team fired up and ready to play in Lawrence Friday. I can’t help but sit here and think about how we could easily be 10-1 right now. O well hopefully come December 1st no matter who we are playing we are gonna add our first conference title since 09.
