No kidding. They've also brought in Randy Clemens who was Briles' ol coach when he was at Baylor. He is alleged to have made nasty comments about Baylor coeds and fb players. I don't know if this will work you have two huge egos on one staff.

Very good hire by UH. Briles will get their offense going big-time. Look for FAU to take a pretty big step back on offense next season. Briles made Kiffin look really good last season.

In 2001 Kendall was a redshirt freshman, and Major was a senior and a backup qb.

Major's first season of 7-5 following Herman was not impressive. He knows he is going to have to improve to stay on. I'm not sure how much Kendall Briles is culpable in the Baylor situation. He might be just don't know.

I don’t know how much Kendall Briles had to do with the Baylor situation. My problem is though most if not all of that Baylor staff got jobs in other places...nTo me that says it’s all Art Briles fault. I can’t accept that. The assistant coaches know more about what’s going on than the HC a lot of time. I don’t know who knew what when, but I do know Art Briles isn’t the only one from this scandal that should be watching football from home.

Yeah Major’s first year wasn’t great. Mostly because the A&M QB transfer judt wasn’t great. He finds a QB he will be fine. I think they could win 10 next year.

Not at all. Art was the face of the Baylor program. Kendal, even though he's his son, gets a pass. With Kendal being very successful thus far in his early career, he will get a lot of interest. Art, rightfully so, catches all of the blame for the cover up at Baylor. He'll never coach in major college FB again.

I just can't believe that Kendall and the other
asst coaches didn't know what was going on. I think their bor in a way to keep that scandal from getting totally out of hand put it on Art, McGraw, and Starr. And there were the nasty comments that Kendall allegedly made. I referred to it above.

But let me say this. Kendall has an outstanding mind for offense. His dad taught him well. I remember his first game as their oc in the CB against MSU. They lost but he called a great game. We shall soon see.

Yeah... so basically we’re saying “if your good and we think you have a future we will give you a pass”... not really the way to change the overall culture in football.

I get that Art Briles was the face of the program and therefore takes the fall, but those assistants were just as much involved maybe even more so than Art himself in some cases. Maybe not all the assistants but some for sure. I don’t see how any HC could say they take this issue seriously and have anyone assosated with that staff on their staff.

Reality though is winning trumps all. Any coach will get a job regardless whst he has done if a coach thinks he can win games and save his job or help him get another one.

Proof only matters in a court of law, and although there is no “proof” you’d have to be naive as hell to not think at least one asst coach knew whst was going on.

The problem becomes each school can come up with a rational for each of their hires, but if Everyone does that it amounts to saying no one knew anything which doesn’t pass the smell test. No argument from me that Kendell Briles is a hell of a coach at from a football perspective it’s a coup for Major but the fact that most of these Baylor coaches hav3 had little trouble getting other jobs is a bit disturbing especially when you hear coaches and admins taking about how things need to change.
