Looks like he is opting out and planning to transfer. Not a big loss at all. Never could stay healthy.

Players will have bad plays. Coaching them through them is important. I do not know if it he could not pull it together despite the coaching or was the coaching lacking.
Either way, a change will be good for both parties.

Could this influence the decision of ant '21 RB targets?

Keontay is a much better back than he is given credit for and the fumble was something that didn't happen often with him to this point in his career. Average yds per rush pretty darn good and with better game plans and in game offensive adjustments, better discipline and a few other things (like an elite OL) that could be listed here he has even better stats. Keontay was not the problem at Texas..

Nobody is really saying he is a bad back but more the fact he is the 3rd best back on this team.

Guys I like Ingram but he is not a PTP! He chokes in clutch situations. Perhaps he can get that back . . . but not with Bijan out there.

I said this in another thread, Ingram has the talent to play in the league, but he is in dire need of a sports psychologist. I don't think he ever recovered from that dropped pass against LSU and now the issue with the TCU fumble. His biggest issue now is putting things behind him and learning how to concentrate.

I've also heard he is a really good young man, his biggest issue right now is between his ears.

Kids nowadays are scared of a little competition. If things don’t go their way they just go somewhere else.

This is true but I get why they are doing it. If you are a QB and want to make it to the NFL then you HAVE to be at a place where you can play. If you are not playing then there is no chance on making it. You are not going to waste precious years of eligibility getting 2nd or 3rd team reps at practice and no playing time. It is what it is.

And it rarely works out the way they think it will. There are sometimes where it benefits you go get out and go somewhere else. More often than not though it doesn’t really

Keontay to USC. USC has a Texas thing going with Todd Orlando, Craig Naivar and now Keontay.

I am a Keontay fan. I like his game. He did fumble the ball in critical times, but I bet he finds a way to fix that. He will make somebody a good rb and I wish him luck.
I am probably wrong buy I think I remember Priest Holmes having similar issues and he got it turned around. I loved watching him make magic happen with the ball in Kansas City.

Priest had a good handle. If he did fumble it was usually because he was suffering from injuries that nagged him. Dude was strong in the upper body.
