Kerrville Places to eat?

Hey fellas, help a brother out. Any recommendations on decent bbq, chicken fried steak or Mexican grub to be had in or around Kerrville? Asking for a friend...

I always liked Mamacita's for Mexican food. Bills BBQ on the Junction Hwy towards Ingram is good. The LakeHouse has good fish and Ive heard chicken fried steak with a good view of the Guadalupe River. Never been to Rails Cafe at the Depot, off Schreiner, but heard its good. Then theres the YO Hotel that has buffet. Billy Gene's....pretty good chicken fry also!

1011 bistro or the rails cafe. Mexican food out there sucks and swallows.

Take drive to Bandara and eat some good stuff, there was a small place in Medina but, don't know if its still there or not, Bandara is the food place! Worth the drive

from the locals in Bandera County: In Bandera,Chicken Charlie's bbq is the best, but Busby's BBQ has new owner and its better w a killer hamburger. Dont forget Mac and Ernie's in Tarpley. In Medina, its a toss up with The Apple Store (good pie, sweets, apple ice cream and burgers), Keese's BBQ and the Chuckwagon.
