Kerrville recommendations

I’m meeting up with some old friends in Kerrville later this week. Any ideas or suggestions for a good place to hang out and enjoy some bar drinks and comfort food?

I'll echo Pier 27. If you're jonesing for some Mexican grub, try El Jimador on the Junction Highway just past Walmart. The grub is decent but more importantly they have sports on all the TV's and the bartender isn't shy when he's pouring.....

The Y. O. Ranch hotel has a bar and also a restaurant with buffet, I believe. If you and friends haven't been there before and want a place where you can hear each other well, it might be good. The lobby is pretty neat to see.
Pier 27 and Chili's gives you view of the river and possible outdoor sitting.
