Great game, brilliant pitching by Keuchel. There are moments when baseball just has such intense drama on every pitch. This was a classic game.

Sorry Game 2 is the same time as the Horns tomorrow.

Now the V-man goes nine strong. Astros get the win! tough to switch back and forth between games.

Go 'Stros!! Make it 3-0 tonight
Network is kissing cc's butt. But he is looking tough early, so is Morton.
Our batters generally adjust 2nd and 3rd time through the lineup.

Last chance for the Astros tonight. In this situation I can't think of anyone better than Justin Verlander to save your season.

Most of the time i'd agree with that statement but we need some Altuve magic tonight. Doesn't matter who pitches if the Stroz don't cross the plate.

I don't watch baseball, but I do watch sports news, and I am so sick and tired of hearing the media talk about the Yankees v Dodgers World Series I could throw up.

I'm gonna be plenty happy if the Astros shit on the media's dream series.

Agree and I hope we blow the Yanks out tonight!

All hands on deck tonight! Game 7"s are exciting, unless it's your team. Starting Morton tonight who pitched well last outing, just didn't score for him. Hopefully CC will realize he is old and has a bad outing and has a bad outing. Scoring early would be huge.

Go 'Stros!!

Thank you Astros for beating the Great Satan of baseball...now go and beat down the Little Satan!!

Worthy of a WS thread. Read a New York paper story today acting like the Yankees- Dodgers was a done deal. Happy to have ruined their little fantasy.

Good luck to the Astros. I don't follow baseball but my job requires for me to be in my car a lot. I don't know why but over the last six weeks I've started to listen ESPN radio. Anyway i listened to Game 7 and the Astros brought it home.

Listening to ESPN I learned that although the Dodgers won 105 games in September they lost 16 out 17 games but the Astros have played strong all season. They said Clayton Kershaw chokes in the post season. We"ll see.

When I did follow baseball because of Bob Gibson my favorite team was the Cardinals. Since they started in 1962 the Astros have been mostly mediocre. They played in a stadium that in imho was the worst stadium in the history of professional sports. And as long as I'm taking about professional sports the Astros had one of things worst owners of all time in Roy Hoffeinz. He had no knowledge of how to run a baseball team. He wouldn't have known a good baseball player if it bit him in the a**. All he cared about was building that silly a** Astrodome. In less than 10 years it was outdated.

I know the Astros won the pennant a few years ago but they lost to the White Sox. They seem to have their best team in franchise history.

The reason why I'm pulling for them is Texas is my home state. Texas has never won a World Series although the Rangers came close a few years ago. Mostly in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey the city of Houston needs something to rally around. I can't think of anything better than being in the World Series. Houston needs a champion. The Rockets won a couple of NBA titles but that was a long time ago. They've come up empty in fb and baseball.

So in the name of civic pride and for a city that really needs to something to rally around I say

Go Astros

trivial pursuits. Dyk that the Astros original name was the Colt 45's.?
