Weird choice. Supposedly Houston wanted a crazy buyout in the contract with Kiffin, which I could understand balking at, but not if your backup is FAU.

The guy is so eaten up with himself that he thought he could dictate the terms to UH and they would drool all the way to the contract table. Someone ought to point out to him his "stellar" head coaching resume......really, where he needs to go is aTm...everyone associated with that program has the idea that they are relevant and wonderful, when nothing of worthiness has ever been produced there. They would be perfect for each other.

Rumor was to the HS coaches were pushing for Major(not surprising) so kiffen dictating demands probably just made it easier. Kiffen got his last shot to be a HC and picked an odd job that's for sure. I probably would of waited a year. Mire openings probably next year.
