I posted this on the thread that has probably run its course. Thus, I am re-posting as a new thread in the hopes that most can watch it. Klatt's clarity is such a refreshing truth to espn's sobbing take on the coaching ordeal. Cowherd has always been cut and dry on issues like this. I don't think he joins in on pity parties but, rather the simple nature of the business world today.

Mic drop!

My only issue is this. If mike Perrin has indeed led Charlie to beleive there is a chance he keeps his job based on Friday's result and that is not true then it's wrong. I don't care how much money is owed or however you want to spin it. Any employee deserves to be dealt with up front. And if the decision has been made there was a way to handle it that was more professional.

That's my only gripe with the whole issue and I think a lot of people share that but may not be communicating it in the right way.

If all he's said is we're going to evaluate the season once it's over then that's no different than most companies. ANY human being that has an ounce of work ethic knows when they're not living up to their companies expectations period. Anyone that doesn't just simply has been hand held their whole life. I expect Strong has a good work ethic and realizes his job is at stake and if he doesn't OH man was he the wrong guy for the job. Maybe I'm missing where Perrin has said he's fired end of story and then said oops we're going to wait.

Most of the people would complain about an in season firing. The montra would then be "why can't they at least let him finish the season". Also, your frustration is misplaced. It isn't UT that is putting out this info. It is posers that the media is letting speak for the university. As I have said, are you upset that many NFL coaches don't just get fired right now instead of waiting for "black monday"? Why do we have a different standard?

Klatt nails it.

The uproar is about timing which comes down to basically a week. For the longest in season firing were thought to be train wrecks and undignified, now Strong having to wait a week for the end of the season until he's officially fired is some kind or morally unjustifiable position, and god forbid he actually have to perform the duties his position is responsible for while still employed. Oh the humanity he has to prep for TCU and talk to the media.

Speaking of this. I just watched the clip with Klatt on Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpes show. Klatt just reiterates the same stuff, but Skip had an actual reasoned take which I agreed with. I am probably going have to do some serious soul searching tonight in a bottle of bourbon because I found myself agreeing with Skip Bayless.

Anything Skip says goes in one ear and out the other. The guy is a joke! I really need to hear what he said.

@bubba2023 Was this on 11/21/2016?
