Kliff to AZ Cardinals?

You're a little late homie. My bad. Should've known you'd be on this one. ;)

I don't get this hire at all. KK couldn't win at Tech, played no defense, and he's going to win in the NFL? He might have been a good coordinator in the NFL, but a HC? The Cardinals made a bad hire, IMO.

He doesn’t have to recruit players to Lubbock now. Teams bid for free agent slaves in the NFL. I’m looking forward to seeing how he does.

True. I hope that he does well. But he better concentrate on defense as much as he does offense, or he won't last long in the League. I'll say this, KK is a gamble. He may or may not pan out, but its just as good of a shot as hiring an NFL re-tread coach.

Just so happens I live and die on every play with the Cardinals. No, seriously. :) (and I used to hate the Cowboys, but not so much anymore).

On the AZ message board, we're all drinking the KK Koolaid, telling ourselves he's a QB whisperer, and that he can develop the Rosen kid we drafted last year out of UCLA.

That he's in the mold of McVay, a young, gifted offensive mind, which of course is all the rage in the NFL.

But I can't help but be a little skeptical. Seems like a swing for the fences type of move. Either a strike out, or a home run. This might be the last gasp for the GM in AZ, Keim, who's had a really rough past twelve months in the desert.

I like Kingsbury and I hope that he does well in Arizona. However, he couldn't win at Tech and doesn't care a lick about defense. I think that the odds are much higher that he's a strikeout with the Cards.

Smh. So these days you can get fired from a nobody directional school, which just happens to be your alma mater, and get hired as NFL head coach.

I haven't kept up in a while, but somebody remind me which is next. Is it plague or locusts?

I am a little optimistic about this hire. He can hire a DC, that can be a "co-head coach" type and you don't have to worry about scholarship allocation and things of that nature. I don't believe he is going to have the final say on who they draft, so the idea of them only drafting offense. I know I am in the minority here, but I believe he is a better fit in the NFL than in college due to having people above him who will drive the personnel decisions. Obviously he will have input, but I don't think he will have final word.

You know who is got to be jumping up and down with joy? Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk. KK is going to do some crazy things with those guys.

I believe it's the dead rising from the grave--- then it's dogs and cats living together--- if Ghostbusters was right.

Btw---- just to add a little "wtf?" To the equation---- it came out the other day that KK is bumping fuzzies with Holly Sonders.

Charmed life.

Great call on Fitz (and Kirk) being the happiest guys in AZ today.

Larry Legend likes his numbers, and I think he'll stick around for another year or two knowing he can bank on 80 or 90 catches a year. He's still effective as TE/slot/move the chains type. Good run blocker too.

Hope you're right about KK in NFL man. I think you're on point in that its going to come down to the staff he can assemble around him.

Some of you guys know that I live in North Phoenix . . . and I'm a Cards fan by default. I keep waiting on some nugget of truth to hit me in the head on this . . . and I got nothing.

I will say that KK can't possibly be as bad as the guy the Cards just fired. He is not head coach material and should have been fired.

But my Cards have more problems.than just their coach. Let me put it this way . . . my fiance yelled all season about how bad their O-Line was. It was that bad and that obvious. And they have problems on D too.

KK has his work cut out for him.
