The wife and I are coming into town for the KSU game. She wants to experience 6th street. We went to Edwin's the night before out engagement two years ago and I see that is closed now. We watched the Utah vs Texas bowl game. We had just one night to hang in Austin and it was a rushed trip. Give me some recommendations on 6th fellas! We are not wild party people. We like some drinks and light socialization!

I'd go to The Domain in North Austin...less likely to get hit with a flying dildo up there...

I get down there about once a year now and I avoid 6th street after dark at all cost. Still enjoy it in day time though

Stay off The Dirty 6th it ain’t what it used to be. Go to Rainey or the Domain. The only thing you are going to get on 6th is a fine, arrested for a fight and sticky soles.

6th street? No. That is all.

Unless you’re into hanging with the homies, homeless, eses, and others that have nothing at risk.

Yes we just want a place with some cool people were we can drink a little and eat. Watch games or whatever. Usually when I'm in Austin lately its quick in and out trips and haven't got to go out much.
Hoping when we go to the KSU game we still have a chance at CCG............

Definitely The Domain. I stay in North Austin when we go to games anyway so it is easy.

I'm excited to get down there and check out the area around the new Soccer Stadium...which is in North Austin as well.

Any bar recommendations around The Domain? Where is soccer stadium going up? My daughter loves soccer and her dream is to play for Texas!

I've only been to Doc B's, Culinary Dropout, Detour and Yardhouse. I enjoyed all of them.

I would say Detour is the most chill of the bunch. I only did dinner at Culinary Dropout. Yardhouse and Doc B's are probably going to be quite a bit busier.

The stadium is up. There are several microbrews around the stadium. It is Q2 Stadium. I'm excited to check out Hopsquad when I get down there this November

Yard House is pretty much everywhere. Try and hit up a local spot. I like YH due to their long list of beers though. Oskar, Austin Beerworks, Circle, Adelberts, Celis, 4th Tap and Hopsquad are close or around that area. I’m sure they’ll have the game or call and see.

Q2 stadium is across Burnet road from the Domain. I’d say about 1/4 mile, if that.
Schedule shows FC Dallas plays Austin FC Saturday at 7pm.

Soooooooooooo.................the marriage is over apparently. No KSU game now. Seems like my 2021 is mirroring the current Texas football season.............
I can't even give these tickets away. Only paid $73.
There is hope with the Horns guys. I truly believe it!!!

Whelp she's buying a house and will be gone. Divorced filed. Waiting the 60 days. It's a long story that I'll share once the divorce is done. But as a guy in Texas we all know divorce law doesn't really favor ya.
So now i've got some things to replace and don't have travel and game money. It'll be ok. I just need to get mid dec when hopefully her house closes. Divorce isn't finished until Jan or Feb...........

Sorry to hear about your divorce EWN. I went through a nasty divorce about 10 years ago, my one and only marriage. I'll never get married again. Best advice that I can give someone is to prepare. Prepare like you're going into battle. Protect what is yours and try to minimize your losses. Be calculated. Hide money. Take assets and anything that is important to you. Men get screwed in divorces. Even more so when kids are involved and we're required to pay child support. Circle the wagons, man.

So sorry to hear that you're going through this. Hang in there and know that things will get better. Hire a good lawyer and follow their direction 100%. Don't post any details on social media or message boards - divorce lawyers will certainly try to find a way to use it against you.

That’s the case a lot of the time. You mentioned above you had a daughter, just love her and be the best dad you can be. Too bad your wife won’t reconsider.

Came home to an empty house Wed. We shall rebuild! She took the stuff inside and most of my inheritance from my deceased wife. She played me well gentlemen...........be safe and don't be stupid like me!

Carry on. I won't post about this again..........

Divorce is final second week of Jan. Not worried about it changing much.........she took all she could...........

Sadly, I can relate, EWN. You said that you knew this was coming. I hope that you circled the wagons as best as you could. I really hope that you hid money to help minimize your losses.
