We have started our search for a lake house. We live in Montgomery, but really want something with clean water and within a few hour drive from our home. I'd love to be on a Lake with our own dock, near a vibrant city to be able to go out to eat, and Lake Travis is right at the top of my list due to proximity to Austin.
I've never been on Lake Travis. Is the water fairly clear or is it muddy?
We would love to do some fishing but also wake boarding, tubing etc... I've heard the Lake is pretty much free of debris... Is that right?
How long does it take to travel by boat around to do the pub crawls, etc?
I've looked at some homes in Lago Vista.. what other areas would be nice, clean and under $750k?
Any other info I need?
