Mike Leach has never won even a divisional title let alone a conference title. Friday will be the best chance he's ever had. I will definitely be watching this game on Friday night. I will flip the channels back and forth between this one and OK/WV.

Leach over rated?.....How do you figure?....No 1....who is rating him high in the first place?...Besides....all he has ever done is take recruiting disadvantages and still build good teams. He is innovative....and sometimes he catches lightning in a bottle with the lesser overall talent he is forced to play with and make some big noise.

You can call him an asshole, but never over rated.

In 17 season's, he's never won a conference championship, and is 6-7 in bowls. As a coach, you should be known for what you have accomplished, not what you did to ruin someone else's season.

The entire Mike Leach coaching tree is littered with guys who put up video game type numbers, but don't win the games that really matter.

All he has ever done is move anyone with any talent to the offensive side of the ball and completely neglect his defense.

Leach coaches mediocre to bad players and makes them really good. Those of you that can't see that are in denial.

Now, could he coach great players and make them champions? I have no idea. Washington St. would beat Texas by 14 or more. And that is the truth. Leach haters gonna hate.

He Briles’d us in the 2008 coaches’ poll, and he whined like a little b*tch about the refs each of the last several times his teams lost to Texas.

F*ck Mike Leach. Go Huskies.

So is Bill Snyder overrated? Spokane Washington is basically in Idaho. He is taking guys nobody wants and winning. He was was pretty good in Lubbock too, which isn't easy.

Bill Snyder took a program that never had any success ever and built them into a program that won 11 games in 6 out of 7 seasons. In addition, he won the Big 12 twice.

Leach has won 11 games 1 time in his entire coaching career. Mike Leach schedules the weakest possible non-conference opponents he can and starts the season 4-0. He follows that up with a .500 season in conference play and ends up with a record of 8-4.

I think you miss the point of being over rated. I get what you're saying but....... if you give leach Oklahoma talent, he will win a national title for you.

How do I know this?

Because he's already taken Oklahoma talent and won a national title with this.

No way a Mike Leach coached team wins a game 13-2. If this discussion was about whether or not he was a good OC I would agree with you.

Well Pullmans about 2 hrs from Spokane and he has everybody ass in the Pac on the ropes this year, he beats Wash this weekend which he will be on he 's on the way, don't take him to be a fool as we found out in Lubbock with Crabtree, he's a players coach, maybe its just Mikes time this year with all them rejects that nobody wanted that are winning , he got the best QB in the nation and maybe the best WRs, Washington State would tear OU and WV a new asshole right now

Mark Mangino was the OU OC in 2000, holmes.

Leach is not easy on his players. He demands performance. He would not do well with players that rant about racism on their twitter accounts. The personalities would not mesh. He will take guys that want to learn and play hard to titles. Tech made a huge mistake when they let him go.

Speaking of, Tech's late season collapse may be the end of KK. He has a really good QB in Bowman. Too bad that ship is sailing for them.

If the PAC refs weren't protecting USC earlier this season he already gave a CCG spot locked up.

Not really if ya ever seen him play then you would know, my grandson in Navy at Everett is a big fan and also the Biggest Texas fan you will ever find and he's impressed with him along with a buncha sailors on base, he is good , Sam good, both are accurate young men with some of the best company at WR, and I just plain like the Pirate, his jo0kes and wide openness, sorta like DKR or Bum Phillips storied responses

Gotcha! Pirate is good for a news conference for sure! Same with Mullet Man Gundy, they both speak their mind despite most of the time it not having to do with anything relevant. They make for good press conferences.
The down side to Wazzu QB to the uneducated spectator is that it is Leach system. Doesn't matter who plays QB they are going to put up video game numbers. I honestly haven't watched a Wazzu game, but I can see this being the argument against him. Same could be said for Murray and the land thieves...you have the Heisman Winner and #1 Draft pick last year, but the guy who has bounced around because he couldn't get the starting job at another place is putting up even better numbers than the guy before. Could lead people to believe it has more to do with the system and less with the player. Right or wrong, I can see that being the arguement against those type of players.

Well, ya can't fake throwing TD's , Thats what makes Leach and defines him is, he don't give a shit what ya think, he's a QB maker no argument there and no one runs the Air Raid better than him, been a lota try...

There are about 10 programs in the country that wouldn't want Leach as their HC. The rest would roll out the red carpet. IMO.

If that were true, he wouldn't be the coach at WSU.

Real programs want guys that compete for championships. Praise Leach all you want, guys trophy case is empty.

Does that mean we are not a Real Program? We got a second yr coach that really hasn't proved himself but is trying and barley got to the point that we are at now, I say that's pretty good for a Real program..you must be stupid idiot like ya bro Metcalf! I doubt you too as Laurel and Fing Hardy!
