There are a couple of stories that caught my attention. Curious to what fellow Longhorn fans think.
1. Brock Osweiler publicly commented his disappointment to losing the starting role. However, he also said that he accepts the decision and is a team player for what is best for the team. I personally don't have a problem with Manning getting his position back even though Manning has annoyed me. The 4 turnovers that Osweiler got demoted for weren't his fault-except for the pass that he threw too hard and bounced off his receiver and resulted in an interception. BTW, I like Manning, but the part that has annoyed me is every time he throws a TD pass, he trots off of the field with a "Yea that was me" arrogance. I really don't see him congratulating his lineman or going to his receiver in celebration. It isn't "just him"-he has a whole team in the effort. Back to Osweiler. I think it is a good thing that he has the confidence and belief in himself to losing his starting status to a legend.
2. My drive home always consists of flipping between two different sports stations. Both of the radio stations were expressing discontent with the firing of Lovie Smith. I admit, I don't have a great handle on the entirety of Tampa's day to day affairs, but, I didn't think it was such a bad decision to let him go. His record isn't the best and he lost his last 4 games in a row. Maybe somebody here can enlighten me on why it was a bad decision because the radio hosts I was listening to were not convincing.
