LJH to enter NFL draft

Now just need Brandon Jones to announce so we know who all we have next year!
I think we are set up well for next year. Collin will help settle the rotation as the young guys find their place.

LJ and CJ were as good a receiving duo as we've ever had. This season couldn't happened without them.

He's going to regret it.

Possibly, but with the new rookie wage scale, there isn't a huge difference between being drafted in the 3rd round and the 7th. He's betting on himself to make a roster and the money is in the 2nd contract. This way a possible big pay day comes one year sooner.

Big gamble. Most don't make it to the 2nd. Personally, I go for the higher draft grade while getting a degree that will earn some money. He is going all or nothing like a river boat gambler.

What degree do most college athletes that are going to school for NFL reasons usually get? Serious question.

Dunno but it does show an accomplishment. Having a degree may keep you from sacking groceries. They could go into coaching..... BTW, maybe the student athletes should get a degree that matters. What a concept.....

My guess Nueces is time for degrees like Business and Engineering probably need a lot of study time. I don’t know how much a NCAA Football student athlete has. Clob? Is it likely that most football stars go for the degrees that are more difficult and time consuming? Actually you answered that. Is there enough time for football and studying for a student athlete?

The dude can catch. And he can catch a ball in traffic. He is smart and runs good routes. He is a big body with room to put on more weight. He is a hybrid and there will be an OC that sees HUGE upside to LJH. A creative OC will be licking their chops and the matchup issues they could create with LJH

Did VY regret going pro, getting drafted #3, and winning ROY? I hadn't heard.

I think what VY regrets is the timing of him leaving early. If he would have stayed one more year, he wouldn't have gone to Tennessee for Fisher to screw up his career. Now, there are no guarantees that he would have killed it with another team, but Fisher didn't want VY and it seemed that he went out of his way to not help to develop him as a player.

If VY could of done it all again he would of stayed one more year at Texas and won the Heisman and win another natty. Then go pro and be the number 1 pick besides the 2nd worst number 1 pick in NFL history JaMarcus Russell. The number 1 first worst pick ever Ryan leaf.

Leaf was terrible, but he was actually the #2 pick. Peyton Manning went #1.

I agree with with the way league is trending he will be just fine. He’s 6’4 225 with great hands and can catch the ball in traffic. There’s an OC somewhere licking his chops in the NFL just waiting for a guy with his size and match up problems that will give him some good opportunities. Sounds like some of you are a little bitter he is leaving.

Jeff Fisher was the worst thing that ever happened to VY. He did the same thing with Jared Goff and now look what he is doing with Sean Mcveigh.

Well, Hell! Good Luck LJH! Ok, he's gone! Lets warm a few up left in the Bullpen, we replaced VY with Colt and so on and so forth, so we will have to do the same here, who knows we may have one coming in or still here that will blossom into something better

Don't forget about the Gatorade player of the year! If Clemson has two freshman receivers doing big things why cant our two incoming do the same?

No, it's a biggie. But I figured he would too.

Agreed, it’s a biggie. I like that CJ is coming back, and loved having LJH as an alternate target. Having two monster WRs out there was HUGE!

It’s a hit to our receiving corps. No reason to pretend it’s not.
