He may "want to come back", but he has failed to produce results on the field, and his firing is justified. Its hard to feel sorry for Strong. The man was very, very well paid for his time in Austin.
I have some friends on fb that are calling his potential firing racially motivated. smh. If it was year one then I could perhaps see a coorelation but 3 years and 15 mil. Later and still trying to reach the north side of .500? No, it's just business.
Some people are going to go to the race card no matter what. It sure wasn't "racially motivated" when they hired Strong. Plain and simple, Strong failed to produce. If he was producing wins, he would be revered in Austin.
And getting paid another 10 million for completely failing his job here. I don't get all this sympathy for him either.

Dear Lord, I pray not.
I'd rather see change, but if we're just gonna go hire Herrman the next day I think I'd just rather keep Strong. I mean if Harbaugh and/or Dabo are willing to seriously consider Texas you HAVE to try to get them.
I really think those in power would like that and they signed him to a 5 year agreement for a reason.It was considered the time necessary to rebuild the program to a winning level.
Yeah. Like I said. I'd rather Strong come back if the alternative is running to Herrman as fast as we can. Not that I don't think Herrman us a good coach just not sure he's done enough to be ready and if others with more of a track recored would listen I'd like to see us explore those first.
And losing to Kansas after 3 years. KANSAS!! The worst team in college football. Totally inexcusable. But Strong says he sees improvement in the team and likes the direction theyre headed. Im just not seeing it myself.
