For all the depth they have on offense and I'm talking about every position, it doesn't matter how good you are the third string qb isn't going to be very good especially when it's a converted receiver. The second stringer Jarrett Stidham was a four star recruit. But he's still a true freshman, six months removed from his senior prom. One of the things about inexperience is that you haven't had a year in the weight room to prepare you for a full season of college fb and I saw that in JS when he got banged up in the Oklahoma game.

Once again their defense couldn't get off the field when it mattered most. How many third down conversions did they give up against the sooners it seemed like a lot. The td that sealed the deal came on third down. But a couple of players besides Andrew Billings showed they can be very good players real soon. Their defense played well the following week against OSU. But once again their defense showed their propensity for stupid penalties in ot against TCU.

And they still have the best offense in college fb. And Art Briles is still the best offensive mind in college fb. And his son is on the way to being one of the best oc's.

And Baylor/Oklahoma could be a nasty rivalry in the making. There was a lot of dirty fb in this game. Actually there has been a lot the last few years. The Tapper body slam, the helmet to helmet shot between Mixon and Sells, causing Mixon to lose his helmet and no penalty being called on either play. The OK player who got kicked out of the game on a pat and then flipping of the Baylor fans as he went to the locker room. Baylor had never beaten OK until 2011. Then RG III had his Heisman winning game. Then Baylor put a beat down on the sooners the last two years including the worst home loss in the Stoops era. Nobody has beaten a Stoops team like that. And this from a team that had never even beaten Oklahoma until recently. Hence all the cheap shots. A Stoops team has never lost three in a row to anybody and physically they saw to it that it wasn't going to happen against Baylor.

Like I said a nasty rivalry is in the making between these two.

They beat us fair and square. But I still can't believe the conference champs got physically beat up by UT. Its just unfathomable that the team in the Cotton Bowl last October is going to the Final 4. This is either Stoops's greatest coaching job, or the October debacle was his worst. Now for the worst part - with the state of playoff football, we (or at least I) are/am now forced to root for our conference. Boomer? Sooner? I still think a healthy Russell would've made up 10 points, and I'm sure Briles will have the Bears frothing at the mouth next year. Biggest question mark of our offseason - keeping Corey Coleman and Andrew Billings in Waco another year.

I'm not going to necessarily root for OK. But they're probably going to play Bama in the first round and because it's an SEC team it would be great for our conference if we beat not just an SEC team but Bama as well.

Billings will probably come back but I don't think Coleman will, and I don't think Linwood will either.

Oklahoma came in ready to play and they had a golden game plan and executed it to almost near perfection. They were the better team that night and we now know they were the best team in the Big XII this year.

You know what I think when it comes to injuries like Oklahoma and Baylor? It means it ain't your turn to be the champs. It means it's meant to be Oklahoma's turn. And in these last three games the sooners came in with everyone on board. Nobody got hurt during this stretch and Mayfield was golden and has led them to the playoffs.

OUthereincalif. Very good and concise writeup. Fair across the board. Losing Bradford cost us a natty and it just wasn't our turn. We shall see from now own but we have a chance.
I always root for our conference, even for the Horns.

OU did lose Mayfield for a half against TCU but survived. But you are right re: the OU-Baylor rivalry. Glad the game in Norman next year. But if Russell is healthy should be a very close game.

And believe me I will be very pleased of Oklahoma beats the tide. Like I said it's a matter of the Big XII sticking it to the SEC, especially Bama and Nick Saban.

I will come up with Oklahoma and part four soon. I'm sure you can't wait to see what I say lol.
