Lox of the day......

That O/U line is ridiculously ...low. Those 2 d's suck.

I'm going with Okie St. +7.5. Going with my eyes, not my heart. Does that make me a bad alum?

You want a slam dunk?....No matter what punishment Strong metes out on Perkins, Dozer will make a snide comment about it.

Nebraska -7
Michigan -16.5
Michigan is just mud holing Penn state. The fighting Harbaugh's are good......

Did you see Bama vs Kent state? Kent state hasn't seen a massacre like that since 1970..............

Too soon?

I think Strong should suspend him for a few games and make him work extra with the strength and conditioning coach. It's Perkin's first offense and he is only 21. Teach him, coach him, and mentor him. My $ 0.02

I was taking PlanII English. The prof was a West Point man. He was horrified that the NG had ammo. ..
Strictly against the riot act.

We gotta get out of the 3-3-5 defense. It doesn't stop anyone in college football and I cannot think of a good team that uses it for a base defense.
Isn't it important to have a dominant nose tackle for the 3-3-5 or 3-4-4 to even have a chance? We don't have any dominant defensive linemen. I haven't put a lot of thought into it, but, now that you bring it up, it does seem to be a rational scheme for defending the spread with multiple receivers and quick release throws.

Baylor has switched to a 3-4, but all of the linebackers are smallish, so its almost a 3-8. Why is this on a Longhorn Board? Because you play Okla. St. this week. I think this game will give us a good read on the Horns. The Notre Dame game infused hope. Notre Dame just lost to Duke. So who knows if that was a good win. Okie St. is mediocre. Period. Rudolph has a good arm, Washington is a great WR. Otherwise, there is no one on offense or defense that turns your head. They aren't bad; they just aren't good. Okie St. ran well occasionally, but inconsistently, against a BU D Line with no talent or depth. Washington was double teamed the whole game, and held in check. If UT can't control the line of scrimmage, then we will know that this is a middling team. I would predict a double digit win, but it is a road game for a young team, which is always dicey (see Cal).

I have read that a dominant NT (one that draws a double team from the OL to block) is required in the 3-3-5. However, we do not have that and teams can easily block our 3 D-linemen (we are out numbered). Therefore, we lose the battle at the LOS due to coaching scheme.
