I think I read somewhere that he might be hurt that may not being disclosed. Mentioned something may be tied to when he missed a few games last year. I don't know. I'm willing to give benefit of doubt to him.
Oldman...I saw the same thing. I even saw that he might have some sort of injury that could retire him from football.
I remember JR Richards, who at the time was the most dominating pitcher in baseball. started complaining "he just didnt feel right" Nothing was diagnosed, but he would take himself out of games...He was accused of loafing....and then all of a sudden, he had that stroke and was done.
I hope Malik is ok physically.

I think he's being used correctly. When you play spread teams you want your most athletic LB in the middle. They are also moving him around a lot and trying to get him different looks at applying pressure. Yes our Defense sucks, but he-- along with the rest of the D, just aren't making plays. Now, the answer to why that is could be a million different things and we don't get that type of information.
If something like this is the issue he needs to make the best decision for his health. At least he is getting his education.
To follow up on the info from earlier last week, Inside Texas says the players being benched are OG Patrick Vahe, LB Anthony Wheeler and LB Malik Jefferson.
Vahe has statistically had two of his best games the past two weeks, so his benching is the most surprising.

If true....take the Baylor and the 3.5. This team will give up early and we will get 50 plus put on us.
If Baylor smokes us, I'm changing my mind about Charlie making it to the end of the season.

you could also see any guys that think they have NFL potential shut it down. it could get uglier than any of us imagine by the end of the year.
I see it and dont doubt it....but what possible motivation could there be for tanking? I dont get it. If that is the case, pull their schollys and send em home.

I played with Mike Williams in HS (graduated together) and was an naia all American LB and although I played At a much lower level, I get the game. Malik is a stud but he's either hurt or has quit on this season. Id've killed for his natural abilities but I question his heart, maybe unrightfully so (I hope)? I just hope his love for the game gets him back to where he should be. The kid is a stud but a predator? Show me. I know he can be special. Playing out of position? Maybe but he has done nothing at all this season. He has the tools and can bang. He needs to be making cats his bitch on the reg no matter what. He used to at least run people down with his incredible speed. Lately he doesn't seem to care. Put on your war paint and wreak havoc. If you are late to the ball, make someone, anyone, pay the price.
JR was a beast and one of my favorite players. He was also on the snow candy unfortunately.
well I hope Malik learned his lesson. Being benched for 4 mins usually fixes everything.
