Reports have this as a done deal. He played and graduated from Miami.

If there's a man out there that can clean up that program and make them relevant again I believe he's the man for the job.

I was just checking out his overall record at Georgia and it is a lot better than I thought it was.

I posted this is another thread a while back-

In 15 years at Georgia:
-Record 145-51
-Season ending Top 10 team 7 times, highest was a No. 2 in 2007
-2 Conference Championships
-6 Divisional Championships

Note to Georgia fans -- be careful what you wish for!

I kind of disagree with this sentiment, and we heard the same thing but to a lesser degree when Mack was fired. Every fan base should have realistic expectations for their program, and not many should be expecting to be at the top. Richt is a very good coach, and chances are Georgia will run through several guys before the make the right hire (same for Texas) but I would rather be playing coaches roulette than just year in year out bumping against the ceiling that a current coach gives you. Even if that means there will be years where you win less games.
