Leal, you watching this? Did Mack light the fire and make the rats jump? Or could this be the rampant Jackie Sherill tactics that are making them jump?
More evidence to support rumors about Jimbo being an awful person to work for.
meh. they looked better this year, regardless of being hard to work for. they say the same about saban and i know someone that worked for snyder that said he grinds his coaches down to a nub. so being hard to work for isn't a sin.

Elko turned down Temple and is said to remain in college station as DC. With raise (alleged) of course
Temple is looking for the best DC to promote to head coach. Sounds like Manny Diaz is next on their list. How he is doing well at Miami is beyond me.
Elko looked good this year with a veteran front 7, the shine might wear off a little next year. I do think he is good and Jimbo's slow moving offense helps him out as well. You also don't play many good offenses.
Believe it or not, I agree with you about 2019. Most Aggies seem to think we lose 5 of 7 starters in the front 7 and don't skip a beat. If we are as good up front next year as this year, Elko will land a much better job than Temple. Especially with Bama, @ Clemson, @ Georgia, and @ LSU on the schedule. We have to beat Auburn, SC, & Miss State next year. If Elko is still around in 2020, he'll have a great year. He does a great job scheming teams, but he is going to be short on players vs top teams.
I think he's good but I don't know how much scheming he had to do against the majority of offenses he faced. I'm just saying I wouldn't give him the designation of the best DC. He did do a good job but I think there are many DCs that would have done just as well if they were in his place.

Well yes. Fans in general are seldom objective, including me. We all think that high 4 star incoming freshman is going to come in ready to play at a high level, which is seldom the case. We need a lot of backups in the front 7 to step up and some freshmen DB's to start. It could happen, but seems unlikely.
I'm a sucker for camp reports that are BS 90% of the time, so I'll stop being objective around middle of August. Then we'll play Clemson, Bama, & Georgia and I will be shocked we lost all 3. Just how it goes being a fan, I assure you I am not alone.
Yes well there’s definitely truth there. I would submit however that you aggys are on a different planet in this regard. Every stinking year with no objective reason. Like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football and being absolutely stunned when you whiff yet again.
That's why I can't stand Texags. That place is bipolar, we are always the best or worst team in the country. Never just pretty good.
