The post from this morning on Tora! Tora! Tora! had a couple of mentions of aircraft modeling hobbies. As a kid I put together dozens of WWII aircraft models from the likes of Revell, Airfix, etc. I have been considering getting back into this hobby a bit due to how much I love to research and read about the WWII air wars, pilots and of course, the aircraft. I've done quite a bit of reading lately and there is just so much more available in terms of toolkits, painting tools, painting techniques (brush versus spray, detailing of things like rust, wear and tear, etc) that I'm almost overwhelmed with how to start back up. Anybody on the board do this as a hobby currently? And if so, what would you recommend for me starting up again?
