The draft is coming up on Thursday and for the second time in the last three years a UT player will not be drafted. And until then we had a player drafted every year for more than 70 years. Maybe Hassan Ridgway will get drafted but I'm not counting on it.
But even more crazy is that Baylor and TCU will lead the Big XII in players drafted. The frogs could have as many as 6 players from their offense drafted. They also have a kicker who might get drafted as well. I'm telling ya from an old timer like me who remembers the SWC, I would have never believed that TCU would be able to run with the big dogs. I mean for 40 years they were awful. There was a reason they weren't invited to join the Big XII. Then you have Baylor. Even without that ***hole Shawn Oakman they will have at least three players go in the first two days and a few more on day three. In fact there will be three players from Baylor and TCU drafted in the first round and no one from Texas or Oklahoma. Now I'm beginning to understand why Oklahoma' s recruiting in Texas has declined.
In the words of the great Bob Dylan, the times they are a changin
