This year her husband got a new job and they elected to opt out of his company health insurance plan because it was too expensive and they picked up an affordable Obamacare policy instead. Well, on Christmas eve she fell in the grocery store parking lot and severely sprained her right wrist, elbow and shoulder. She was in severe pain all Christmas day but refused to go to the emergency room. When my mother asked her why she responded... "We can't afford it!"
