How have the mighty cornhuskers who were once a football power in this nation fallen so low?.In Nebraska its the,only team they really have and they have not even played the best teams on their schedule.

I remember when I really respected the Nebraska program. The fans, players and coaches has class... Then they all became a bunch of whiny and hatefully irrational pricks, who were convinced that somehow every ill which fell upon them was Texas’ fault; much like aggy.
That mindset led them to bolt from the B12, with grandiose dreams that getting away from Texas would solve all of their problems; much like aggy.
They still suck; much like aggy.

Honestly, nebraska folks are very genuine and nice people. Yes, they did get butt hurt over us. Why? Well, we kept them from being a 3 time in a row national champ in 1996.. and managed to beat them on several occasions when they felt we should not have. The most notable, after 1996, was 2010 when we totally sucked balls and went into their place and beat their arse. But I can tell you first hand, TRUE nebraska folks, are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Salt of the earth. I pheasant hunt almost yearly up there and after the usual Texas jokes, they warm up to you and treat you like family.
Truth. I've been guilty of this, too, but we really shouldn't paint this fan base with a broad brush because of the actions of a few.
Immediately upon joining the same conference, we ended their run at a NC. Afters two years of foaming at the mouth for revenge against Texas, only to take another loss in Lincoln this time, they stood and applauded Ricky and our team. These are still those same people.
The 2010 win was a beautiful conclusion to a lopsided Big 12 rivalry, but I’d say the 1999 regular season game was the second-most significant game after 1996. Knocked them out of the BCS title game (again), and may have cost them another NC.
