So I've noticed pattern that's pissing me off . . . Has anyone else noticed this? We get a committment from a 5* star guy . . . and then suddenly they are a 4* guy. Not only on this site but others??

I can't be the only person to notice this. Right now, B. Robinson is listed as a 4* RB guy . . . ON THIS SITE! Same thing happened to Jordan Whittington last year then B. Eagles the year before that.. Drives me crazy. If these people who do this worked for me, I'd fire them all.

No need to worry about any of this too much. There are not many 5 stars out there so a change in ranking from 25 to 40 could mean going from 5 to 4 star though the impact of that is minimal.

Bijan is still a composite 5 star. I am not sure he has ever been a 5 star on any of the individual sites but is consistently ranked across all 3 sites (ESPN, Rivals, 247) very highly and averages out as a 5 star.
 
Recruiting is a lot like dating. You don't have to find the perfect woman (looking at you Clob) you just have to find the woman that is perfect for you.

Recruiting is the same, we don't need a 5'star quarterback we need a quarterback that is perfect for our system. I've seen a lot of 5'star guys not pan out and I've seen a lot of 2'star guys turn into 1st round draft picks. All that matters is we get the right guys with the right mentality that fit our program. I couldn't care less if Bijan is a 4 or 5 star, he is one of the best RBs I've seen film on. He made a lot of those 5'star defensive guys look very silly in the 5'star challenge. That is what matters to me.

Also keep in mind that many of these so called rankings are based on agreements between the ranking services and the players. They hold off their commitment announcement and in turn they get a favorable ranking. It's been that way since Rivals and Scout were created. So just take these rankings with a grain of salt because their not a true indicator of a players ability.

It would be amusing to hear Clob's definition of the perfect woman.

Keep in mind these scouts are constantly evaluating these prospects, they move up and down as their careers develop based on other talent nationwide at their respective positions. Perhaps others have passed them up? He may need to have an extraordinary year to move back up. Like others said stars don’t matter much to coaches

We are already on to the 2021 recruiting thread. These are guys who have not played a down as junior in high school! I grew 6 inches my last two years in high school. If the rankings for 2021 didn't move much, that would tell me more about the guy doing the ranking.
 
Meh. Candace Owens' brains, Amanda Peet's personality, Kimberly Perry's voice, wrapped in Kate Upton. Now that's perfect.
