Well in baseball, Texas is rallying from behind to make it interesting against aggsy. 7-5 a&m top of the 8th.

Team Shaka: We will see. They will need to be physical if they have a shot to beat TCU.

Basketball team looking good.

Baseball team is now within 1 point in the 9th. aggy 7-6

Ramey just made the stupidest pass I have seen and Shaka doesn't yank him. Jeez. Texas still whipping up on the frogs 29-16 with 1min left in half.

I change the channel momentarily and all hell breaks loose. I am now back in baseball mode.

Damn. Looked like a pretty good pitcher there at the end for the ags. Horns go down 9-6.

I guess the live play looks bad because on gamecast we seem to be doing well.
Texas has been doing pretty good. But, in the last 3-4 minutes, the Texas guards have been turning the freaking ball over senselessly.

Holy f*cking sh*t with the turnovers! This team’s subterranean basketball IQ is back on display.

Both teams are actually working their butts off on defense.

Nice win.

Would have been cool to see that effort on Senior Day when the game actually mattered, but here we are. On to Lipscomb.

Went to the baseball game. Good environment! Our team cannot win unless 1 of the aces pitch for us. Elder, Henley and Cobb give us our only hope right now. The bats are not working very well either.

Priceless moment at the game. They have a segment where they pick a fan to call a moment in history like Craig Way would have. So they play the 2002 national baseball championship last out by Craig and the volunteer has to copy it. So he gets close to what Craig says...light the tower and all and then he says Texas wins another national championship which aggie has never done. He cut the aggies deep!!!

We have played this same Lipscomb team last year in the beginning of the year and cruised to a 80-57 victory. The difference this year they are just 1 year older.

Its certainly not a done deal, but we win the title, what a bizarre ending to the season.

If your going to play for the title, you might as well win it. The pregame pretty much summed up the season for me when they featured Osetkowski.

Question - if the Shakas win -- will they hang the banner at the Drum? Also - is there a banner for the year Abe Lemmons/Ron Baxter/Krivacs/Johnny Moore won it in the late '70's?

Battle for 65th place....

No. Everyone knows that's not how it works. Texas is better than at least a half dozen teams that made the tournament simply because of automatic qualification etc, and that's being conservative. The nature of the tournament has nothing to do with picking the "top 64" or 68 teams in America.

Maybe so, but I for one will not brag about winning the NIT. It's like being the tallest midget.

Dude, I was being facetious.

I don't have a problem with a NIT championship banner. Many colleges have participation banners just for getting to the NCAA tourney, which I really don't understand. A sweet sixteen banner, Elite Eight or Final Four banner would be okay, but, not just for going. JMHO.
