Confidence comes from the leaders. If QE is the leader then it is easy to see why this is not a confident team. Sark certainly showed, for good reason, little confidence in QE in tight situations today. Here is my take- NIL has ruined QE. He has enough money- wisely invested and spent- to take care of all his needs for a long time. With his injury history, he has no desire to take the shots that QB's take. Can you really blame him if he is making a business decision. I'm not saying that he goes into a game with that attitude but his actions speak volumes. The passion for the game is not there- he may not even realize it- but the game cannot be played scared. And he is playing scared.
