November 2nd: my reenlistment ceremony, signaling the beginning of retirement from active service in the US Army. My OIC has already told me I can leave after the ceremony, at which point I will go home, load up my Jeep and head to my ranch to meet my dad.
November 3rd: possible game 6 of the World Series watching the Rangers with a presumed 7:05 first pitch. Will be watching it from deer camp after grilling ribeyes, knowing opening morning is just hours away.
November 4th: opening morning of rifle season (first time I have hunted opening morning in 5 years), we play Kansas State at home and a potential game 7 of the World Series featuring my Texas Rangers.
All the while, temps will be in the mid to upper 60’s with partly/mostly cloudy skies and a few off chances for light rain. Who has it better than we do?? Nooobody!
