As emotionally charged as today was for most every American in one way or another, now is a time for peace. It is not a time to place blame or to increase the distance between Left and Right. It is not a time for retribution.
I found it truly heartfelt that Bernie Sanders of all people was the first public figure to condemn today's violence and to wish the former President Trump and his family the best as he recovers.
We argue our points endlessly on the Corral from all sides. None of us should want to see what transpired today from a very sick individual or for there to be any retaliation that will tear us further apart. We may disagree on our vision for a better country, but at the end we all want a better America.
