@Prison Mike. set the bar incredibly high with his thread streak, rattling off six consecutive series wins and a 15-6 record, which was far and away our best three-week stretch of baseball all season. Sadly, however, the streak died as the Astros got walked off in Minneapolis on Sunday. However, take heart, Astros OB’s:

For the first time this season, Mamelhorn is dusting off his thread-starting skills in hopes of leading the Space City crew on an epic run. As always, this is a team effort rather than a one-man show, so I call on all Astros OB’s to get ITT early and often.

The first victim? The Miami Marlins. Simply put, they are the suck. They’re 29th in baseball in WRC+ and 26th in team ERA. Sure, H-Town is recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl and our starting pitching situation is still a mess due to injuries. Nonetheless, nothing short of a series victory will be acceptable, with a sweep greatly preferred.

Series Pitching Matchups (all times CDT):
- Tuesday @ 7:10 pm - Trevor Rogers (1-9, 4.91 ERA, 1.60 WHIP) vs. Ronel Blanco (8-3, 2.53 ERA, 1.01 WHIP)
- Wednesday @ 7:10 pm - Bryan Hoeing (0-1, 1.99 ERA, 1.06 WHIP) vs. Framber Valdez (7-5, 3.84 ERA, 1.30 WHIP)
- Thursday @ 7:10 pm - Rod Muñoz (1-3, 5.48 ERA, 1.47 WHIP) vs. TBD

The Astros are riding a season-high six-game home winning streak, so let’s keep it going tonight. GO STROS!
